the quick-sand has my legs again...

Monday, I got off to a great start. Terrific beginning.

And then, at the end of the day, a co-worker from out of town was visiting and hadn't seen me in awhile. She brought me a big bag of white chocolate almond bark.

I set it on my desk, and stroked the bag with love. We gazed at each other for awhile. I even filled my nostrils with the beautiful, sweet odour of roasted almonds and white chocolate. And then, like a baracuda, I devoured much of the bag with passion.

The rest of the week has been equally bad, if not worse - I've been attending a conference at work and the food situation has been hard to control. Plus, my anxiety over a few things has been driving me to the sugar. No excuses, though - it's all been my choice.

So, I feel like a pile of crap. My skin looks tired, my body feels sluggish, and I am in need of some serious detoxing. I'm going to start tomorrow: 3 litres of water, fresh vegetables and fruit, and no dairy. I'm also going to exercise for the next three days straight, especially because I need to be out of town on business again next week.

Yuck, yuck, yuck.

if it's any consolation I think *anyone* with a soul would have had the almond bark. *g* Seriously. Hang in there!
