A minor setback

Well, the news isn't good folks. I'm at 211 this morning. Up 0.5lbs in the wrong direction! I've gained five lbs in the last couple of weeks. Unbelievable. Okay, it is believable.

Needless to say, the rest of the weekend didn't exactly go as planned. The biggest problem was an all-you-can-eat Indian Buffet on Sunday. Note to self: Learn to exercise restraint at all-you-can-eat Indian Buffets, even though the greasy samosas are to die for, and eating heaps of warm naan bread seems effortless. The bloated and i-could-die-from-all-this-food feeling afterward, ain't worth it!

And thanks to all of you for your comments! You're absolutely right - even my "bad" snacking choices are much better than they used to be. My problem is, I indulge in these choices on almost a daily basis now - I need to start limiting them again.

Time for some serious damage control. I'm back to business, starting today. My lunch bag is filled with fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Lunch will consist of a small organic burrito on whole-wheat, with some veggies, and a fat-free organic yogurt. I will get through 3 litres of water today, even if it kills me.

I'm weighing in tomorrow again, because I need to get on top of this....no more denial.

I've come way too far to go back now! Give me strength.:-)

You have come a long way! Cut yourself only enough slack to forgive yourself, and now move on. And while you are at it, could you forgive me too? I ate McD's last night (YUCK!) when I had a fridge full of good stuff. Why? Don't know. But today is a new day, and I will behave today!

You can do this! I live in the land of buffets (Las Vegas) and have found that me and all-you-can-eat just DO NOT mix. I have to stay out of them ;)

0.5lb is nothing. I'm sure it will disappear in a day or two. Sounds like you have a good plan for today, so you should have no problem making that go away. You can do it!

That's so true: 0.5 pounds is nothing! And by the way, if I were to enter an indian buffet, he gain would have NOT been 0.5 pounds... more like 15!!!!
Just a bit more focusing: you know no what direction you are heading., it is just matter of sticking to your resolutions.
