Thanks for all your good wishes about my swimming adventure! I'm definitely going again this Friday. I'm going to keep it at once/week, so the novelty doesn't wear off quickly!

I never did make it to my yoga class on Saturday. I think the swimming from the day before exhausted me, lol! I got up at 8am on Saturday morning, did some puttering around the house, and then went back to bed at 10am! I guess that's what Saturdays are meant for.

I went for a nice 5km walk yesterday. Baby steps, and I'll build my stamina back.

Today, here's my plan:

Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - strawberries, and a small nectarine, a lite babybel, and some hickory-smoked hickory almonds.
Lunch - 8 falafel balls, one ww pita, some spicy hummus, chopped veggies, and a fat-free plain organic yogurt.
Snack - a red apple, some veggie pepperoni, and a small carton of milk.

Dinner is yet to be determined, but I think it will be fairly balanced. I've also got my gym bag packed, and I'll be going after work.

I'm aiming for 3L of water, but if I only get 2.5 in, I'll be okay with that.

I'm getting serious again, and it feels good. I'll weigh-in on Friday, and I'm hoping to be down 1lb.

Exercise for the rest of the week will be going to the gym again twice, yoga on Wednesday, and of course, my lane swim on Friday.

Where is this sudden motivation coming from? Well, it's kind of silly. The break last weekend helped me a lot. But this weekend, my mother-in-law ordered me a BEAUTIFUL suit from India. It's soooo gorgeous. I tried it on yesterday, and it fit - but I look very "lumpy" in it. I just don't feel my best wearing it....and I really want to. Seeing that outfit made me feel so motivated to get fit again. Even if I FEEL better about what I'm eating, and how much I'm exercising - that alone will be enough. The pounds will follow, I know.

So yes, it may seem silly that an outfit can motivate me to get going with my weight loss again - but it's true. You'd think it would be something more epiphany-like, wouldn't you?

I'll update again in a couple of days as to how this week is going.

Congratulations to you too for feeling powerful. Your plan sounds awesome! I love the clothes in India. When I went to my best friend's sister's wedding I thought it put western weddings to shame. All the outfits were gorgeous and full of colour.

Nothing wrong with a bit of motivation coming from an outfit... It doesn't always have to be some kind of epiphany. Enjoy your new found motivation and make the best of it! Go Sonya!

Great motivation! I also find things I like (clothes or otherwise) truly motivational!

Now, I just MUST see the dress! Please!
