Things are busy, but I'm starting to feel a bit more sane.;-)

It's been a productive day so far. I wrote my "thank-you" cards for my baby shower, and went to the post office. I sent my mother-in-law some flowers - for no reason, but just to say "thanks" for all that she does. I sent hubby's cousin's wife (who helped plan my lovely baby shower) some flowers too. Just to brighten up her day. I LOVE sending other people flowers! I can't wait until they get delivered sometime today.

After that, three friends of mine took me out for lunch, and showered me with baby gifts. It was lovely! We had Chinese for lunch (which was just okay), but the company was wonderful. They gave me a jolly jumper bouncer (which I needed), and some gorgeous clothes, and blankets. I am so blessed.

I've also started meeting up with some girls in my aquafit class on Tuesday nights (before our class). We meet at a vegetarian juice-bar place, so it's all very healthy. Except they do serve killer sweet-potato fries and spring rolls!;-) I'm going to meet up with them in a couple of hours.

So, it dawned on me this weekend that I've become addicted to sweets again. How quickly the body takes to sugar, I tell you. Yesterday was my first day of weening myself off..and to be honest, it didn't go horribly. I ate a lot more fruit (which is fine, I suppose) to substitute for the sugar. My latest addiction was "Country Choice" organic cream cookies (basically, the organic non-trans-fat version of Oreo cookies). Sounds healthy, doesn't it? Well, there's a ton of cane sugar in them, and they are definitely NOT low in fat. I've had 4 today. Not good - but I'm stopping myself there. I've also had a few chocolate-caramel squares. Yesterday was better than today. Need to keep trying!

So now, I still have hours of organizing to do. The baby's room (if you can even call it that yet) is stuffed to the rim with a SEA of bags. I need to start sifting through things, because it's stressing me out. Yet, I seem to be avoiding it as each day passes. Funny - I think I'm having a hard time accepting that this is ACTUALLY happening.:-)

I was at Baby Gap this morning and almost (I said, almost) bought another animal sleeper. This one, was a white fluffy one with a rabbit tail, and the hood had whiskers and bunny ears. Tempted, but I turned away. Really, I would only have been able to get away with it if it was Hallowe'en.:-) Right?

Hubby and I are DYING to know whether we're having a girl or boy now. The suspense is killing us! I really don't know. My gut has been saying "boy", but every now and then, I wonder whether I'm wrong....well, there's a 50/50 chance, right? Can't wait to find out!

So, I'm off to do some organizing. Not the baby's room, of course. But there are some drawers in our bedroom that need to be sorted out BADLY.

My photos seemed to be trapped on our new camera - I couldn't transfer them. I'll admit that I'm a bit of a luddite when it comes to these things. Being able to maintain a blog is a miracle for me, really. So when hubby comes home, I'll have him transfer the belly shots and shower pictures - and I'll share them! I know I keep saying that, but it WILL eventually happen.

How sweet of you to be sending flowers!

Don't you find that waiting to find out the sex is now paying off? We are getting so close so it's SO exciting that we are finally going to find out if they are boys or girls!!
