The course that I teach has just wrapped up, and I'm in the middle of marking final exams. I would very much like to finish my marking, and as soon as I hit "send" on the marks...to go into labour.:-) If life were only like that.
I'm getting tired. A bit grumpy at times. And there's still some stuff I'd like to do before the baby arrives. Like get a haircut. Or a pedicure. And clean the apartment!
Otherwise, I'm hanging in there. I don't wake up everyday wondering whether "today will be the day". I've adjusted to the fact that it'll happen when it happens. Except, in a few days' time you might hear my impatience a wee bit!
Aquafit class kicked my butt last night. I could barely get up this morning! Even though I'm immersed in marking papers, I'm going to force myself to go for a walk today. Walking is supposed to "help" things along.;-)
I had a craving for steamed greens last night. Isn't that strange? SO unlike me during pregnancy! So, we went to one of our favourite restaurants, and I had the "green goddess" rice bowl. Steamed broccoli, kale, and swiss chard, on top of brown rice, drizzled with tahini sauce and wasabi ginger, and topped with crispy (breaded and oh-so-yummy) tofu cubes. I drizzled some special hot sauce on top for spice. It was soooooo delicious!
Except, I couldn't fit into the booth/table.:-( It was a squeeze to get me in. I guess there's a full grown baby inside my tummy now, so what can I expect?
Alright - this was a procrastination break. Back to marking! And that'll be one more BIG thing down before the baby arrives!
