They say it's your birthday...

Well, I'm finally going to have to change my side-bar - I'm another year wiser today.;-)

Thanks for all of your good wishes after my last post! I'm feeling much better now, and had a very relaxing weekend.

Turning a year older feels so unimportant this year. I guess because the baby is due in 3 weeks now, I'm a bit distracted!;-) Plus, when your birthday falls on a weekday (and the hubby's crazy-busy at work right now), it doesn't really feel any different. But I'd still looove a piece of chocolate cake, lol!

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself today. Funny enough, I'd like to exercise - so I'm going to go to the gym for 30 minutes or so (or as long as I last without huffing and puffing to death!). My stamina is NOT what it used to be! Feels like a good way to get my "new year" off to a start. And then, I'll probably try and organize the baby's room. I've been saying that for days now - but I really need to get to it! Tonight, I have to give a short lecture at the university, and then the hubby and I will probably head out for some dinner. Okay, we're having nachos (because I've been craving them, and I'm bad - confession over).

We've decided to hire a doula to help us with our birth (a doula is someone who supports you during labour by providing pain management techniques, and also helps advocate certain choices during the birth). I'm starting to feel less anxious about things now that we're doing this. Hubby and I would have been fine on our own - but it's also nice to know that we'll have someone attending to us for the whole time. We met her last night, and she seems to be great.

Other than that - there's not too much happening. I haven't turned into a completely impatient crazy lady yet (but I'm getting there). Once the baby's room is set up, and we're all ready for the arrival - that's when I'll probably start with the "Miss Impatience" routine. For now - still lots to do! But first, I'm going to head over to the gym for a bit while I'm still motivated.

Have a good day!
