Does a negative and a positive make things neutral?

Negative:

I'm addicted to chocolate again. I had a large cadbury's bar, without even flinching. I went out and bought it, and I really shouldn't have. I think I bought it out of emotion, though...I wasn't really craving it. Not sure what emotion - but I was alone for about 15 minutes (went for a walk), and maybe it was having some perspective that made me feel kind of overwhelmed with everything again. Oh well. What's done is done.

Positive:

Today, I had my first post-partum exercise session! The baby was sleeping, and I put her in the stroller and wheeled her to the gym in my building. I did 30 minutes on the elliptical. It was very scary at first, because I haven't used gym equipment in a LONG time. I mean, my activities during the majority of my pregnancy were walking, yoga, and aquafit....nothing intense. Getting on the elliptical was a bit hard on my body, but I had to start somewhere, right? Boy, am I going to be feeling it later. Anyway, the baby managed to stay asleep for almost the entire 30 minutes...just as I was down to my last 3 seconds, she woke up and started wailing.:-) Good timing.

Well, regardless of the chocolate setback, it felt good to have some exercise today. With all the sitting around I've been doing the last month (I pretty much spend 14-16 hours a day nursing the baby), I was starting to develop muscle atrophy! Creaking and Cracking like an 85-year old lady is not good.

Okay, the sleep deprivation combined with the nice, warm bath I just had are causing my eyes to close...so before I write anymore nonsense, I bid thee goodnight!

Thats a great idea bringing the little one down to the gym on her naps. I'm impressed! All chocolate set backs aside... you did get a workout in and thats a huge positive. I say it outweighs the negative :)

I have been having problems with cravings too. In the last few days I've had better cravings nock on wood but I still want candy bars chips and iced cakes.

I did weight training at home today.

good to see that you're doing well and back at it all!! a little chocolate is not a bad thing. if you get a chocolate craving, try finding some really dark dark chocolate. it's much better for you!

A little chocolate doesn't hurt, as long as you exercise regularly. I love the eliptical. I have a bad left ankle, so it's a little less painful than running. I do run, though. I prefer the lower impact cardio exercises. Good luck. Great post.
