First of all, thanks for all of your lovely support about my running. Although I was initially disappointed, I'm fine with it. I'm still moving towards my goals, and that's what matters! I'm still going to run a race towards the end of the summer/early Fall, even if it's just a 5K. I ran a 5K before I got pregnant, and I'm going to work on improving my time for this one. I'm still excited!
Besides - it's not like running is on hold forever or anything!:-) Probably about a month, and I can get back to it. Just in time for beautiful May weather.
After a fairly lazy Sunday (except for my stroller walk in the blustery weather to find some books at a store that turned out to be closed when we got there!), I really didn't feel like cooking. But then I realized that it was going to throw my whole week off if I didn't plan, so I got myself up off the couch and started a'chopping. I made some Indian-style mixed veggies, along with spicy chick-peas. And now, we've got another dinner for the week! I also managed to bake a loaf of this delicious banana bread for my hubby. I know, I know, dangerous territory is that baking. But I managed to make the loaf, and only shared a very small piece with him. The rest is now sliced up, wrapped in cellaphane, and will be off to work with him tomorrow. I feel good about that.
Though I will say that I'm annoyed that my husband will eat that entire loaf of banana bread this week, and won't gain a single frickin' pound. Not one. Why why why? Le sigh.
I am SO pumped for this new week. Maybe it's my training session on Tuesday that I'm looking forward to, or maybe it's the fact that I'm feeling like I'm back on track. Whatever it is, I feel awesome!
I've also got these delicous sweet potato fries in the oven right now, to have with my lunch tomorrow. I'd better go and check on them.
