yeeeow.

That's how I feel after my training session last night. There were squats, lunges, calf raises, push-ups....and I can't even remember the rest. It was a great session, my heart rate was up the whole time. Even after the first session on Saturday, I could feel a bit of a difference in my flexibility when I bent over, etc.

The only disappointment was that my trainer ended the session about 25 minutes early, and didn't tell me! I didn't have a watch on me...and when he said, "Okay - we're done! Time to cool down", I thought, "Wow - that hour went by FAST!". After he left, I checked my watch, and was a bit dismayed. He's a great guy - but he ended things a bit early on Saturday too. And I'm paying a LOT of dosh for these sessions, so I expect the full hour, you know? I called him, and he said that we'd make our next session a bit longer. He didn't apologize or offer a reason for ending early, and I suspect that he wouldn't have said anything to me unless I brought it up first.

So yes, I'm a bit disappointed - hopefully this type of thing won't continue. Otherwise, I'll finish my training with him for the rest of the month and fly on my own.

Eating has been going relatively well - except for yesterday. A bit too many sweets - but a massive improvement over previous weeks. I'm cool with it, and am moving on. That's SO key. Before, I would lose hope for the rest of the day, week, month. Now, I'm just going to keep going!

So, triumph #1 to date: I'm starting to feel my abdominal muscles again. Ow, but in a good way.;-)

That is a bit frustrating about your session ending early! I'm glad you said something to him and hopefully you'll get your full hour from now on.

Congrats on feeling those ab muscles again! I need to find mine this week :)

I'd be pissed...you're paying good money for an hours worth of training...if it happens again , I would call him on it.

yea, that blows... i would definitely talk to the gym about that, he could be short-changing a lot of people... if you're paying for an hour, you should get an hour and if not - then you deserve to get $$ back...

Thanks, ladies - I am a bit pissed off, to tell you the truth. Unfortunately, he's training me privately (not through a gym), so my recourse is fairly limited.:-( I did call him on it, so hopefully he won't do it again...but if it continues, we're breaking up.

Yeah Sonya!! Congrats on putting in such a good workout. I hope that you start to see results right away. That's always a great motivator. :)

Feel the burn ! :) I miss feeling that burn from a good work out, it has been a long time since I pushed myself hard at the gym, I usually just go for walks now!?

I would definately complain about not getting a full hour in!! :)

Good job on giving the trainer a call. If your paying good money, you want to get the most out of it!
Weights always make me sore for a few days. But I kind of like the feeling because it means I got a really good workout in!
Keep up the great work...I just love checking your blog!!!
