A few weeks ago, I joined another really fun class for me and the baby. It's called "Salsa Babies", and it's basically a dance class for mom and the little one.
I wear the baby in a carrier (where she's strapped onto me), and we basically dance the hour away together.:-) Very groovy latin beats are played, and I learn new steps. So far, I've learned the meringue, the chacha, and the salsa. So fun! The baby loves bouncing around while I'm dancing, and the beats keep her quite happy.
But most of all, it's a really hard workout! We keep moving and grooving for the whole hour, and I'm quite the sweaty mess when we're done. Also, I'm carrying the baby through the whole class, so it definitely increases the intensity. We walk to and from class (1/2 hour each way), so I'm quite tired by the time I get home!
It was something that I really wanted to try while off on maternity leave, and I'm so glad we signed up. But most of all, my daughter makes the best dancing partner I've ever had.;-)
