Sugar withdrawal is killing me!

So, I'm doing it right this time. I'm trying to eat a very healthy diet, as opposed to eating "low-fat" or "sugar-free". That means, lots of fruits and veggies balanced with protein and whole grains. I'm not eating anything processed or non-organic. I'm eliminating anything with aspartame (not that I was a big consumer of that anyway!), and all sugar is out the window.

For example, dinner tonight is steamed kale, broccoli, green beans, cauliflower, and zucchini with mixed beans and oven-baked sweet potato fries. Yummy.

I know that in a few days, my body will have detoxed and I'll feel amazing.

But right now? Come near me, and I'll bite yer head off. I swear.:-)

Welcome back my long lost friend! You ARE doing it right, and honestly? You are making the right changes and it's only going to end up with you feeling that much better. Having said that, I know it's BRUTAL for the first couple days but when you get through that, it only can get better!

Missed you and hope R is doing fine!

Good luck. I gained lots of weight when I switched from my deal a meal to the fat free diet craze. I am a sugar subsitute addict. I like to make my own low dressings so I can use the healthy oil in homomemade baked goods like whole wheat pizza.

Of course it's not to late to join the Christmas Challenge!!! Just e-mail me your goal. There are 12 weeks left until Christmas so I would keep that in mind when setting your goal. Choose something realistic but also something that will challenge you. Next week is Randi's week to post so I will let her know you want in. It's a great way to stay motivated and accountable! Thanks for joining!!!

sounds like a really healthy meal - who can complain about too many veggies... just ride-out the detox for a few days and you'll be fine... :o)
