Weekend of Mishaps

So, we're all packed up and ready to go to the airport on Saturday morning. Baby is the last thing we need to pack up.;-) Fifteen minutes to go, and my husband is loading the car. I go into the baby's bedroom to wake her up, and she's whiny. Whiny in a painful sort of way. I get closer to her crib, and notice that she's awake - but her eyes are swollen and welded shut. She's crying, because she can hear my voice but can barely see. Let's just say that a freak-out episode ensued, our trip to FL didn't happen that day, but my daughter is fine. Turns out that she had a bad eye infection. Talk about scary, though.

Well, with all of this madness going on, I didn't weigh in! I completely forgot.

And then crappy eating ensued in Florida, because I was all stressed out about everything. Eating is SO hard while traveling on a good day - I found it SO difficult since we left our house in such a scramble.

Well, saying that I had "crappy" food is a bit harsh. I ate salads when I could, but being vegetarian (in a very NON-veggie friendly city) meant that I was starving because there was no protein in any of my food. So, I ended up having pasta when I shouldn't have, white bread, and I drank too much pop.

I'm back, but I don't want to weigh myself because I'll be all discouraged! I'm sure that my hard work from last week got thrown out the window after the trip. Argh. Well, I'm going to weigh in at the end of this week instead.

So, it's late, and I must go to bed now - but two things before I go:

(1) This is the perfect example of "life" happening during my weight loss journey. Correction. The weight loss journey should be happening during the life part. I need to learn how to handle mishaps better.
(2) I did AWESOME last week (with the exception of the weekend). I was consistent, healthy, and soooo balanced. I'm very proud of myself. I'm up for a repeat performance this week. Are you?

So glad that your daughter is ok. How scary is that? I would have freaked out too for sure!

Don't let a few bad choices while away from home get you down. Today is a new day and a new week. You can do this!!

I'm so sorry to hear about the scare with the baby! Thank goodness she is okay!

All you can do is take each day as it comes and do the best you can. Sounds like you are finding your balance - and doing a wonderful job, even if you don't feel that way!! Keep it up Sonya - you are making strides in the right direction!!

I am glad your daughter is feeling
better.
I had a mishap this Friday as well
I tried to cover it with flex points. I just have to jump back on the horse.
