Jiffy Post

This will be the fastest and most cryptic post in blog history!:-)

  • I'm off to San Francisco for a couple of weeks, so excuse the lack of blogging.
  • Things are great on the exercise front - I have been working out like a fiend the last few days, and I can't even begin to explain the energy that I have! I haven't felt this good in ages!
  • Eating has been great, too - not too junky. Only problem is, I'm overloading on the carbs a bit. It's sometimes faster to toast a piece of whole wheat bread and slice some cheese on top than to think about a lower carb alternative, you know? That's where I'm struggling.
The downside is, there hasn't been a big change on the scale. I'm a bit ticked off about it, but since my energy levels are soaring and I'm feeling so good about all the exercise, I'm going to let nature take its course. My body will do the right thing. Plus, I'm super sensitive when it comes to carb intake, so if I can cut back a bit more, I think the scale will reward me.

I've got protein bars and protein powder packed for the trip. Plus, my workout gear! The hotel has a gym. It's crazy to feel this motivated.

Full report when I'm back - hopefully I'll be down a few by then.;-)

Here are some fast less startchy options
Tomato slice sprinkled with salt and pepper or powdered cheese
Roman lettuce wrap with low fat cheese that would be fast
Low fat cottage cheese
Canned chickpeas aka garbanzo beans "They are easy can be rinsed to remove salt and tossed into a salad
BAg salad "Washed under sink
