The day following my last post, I received some really sad news. My first cousin, aged 39 years old, died from colon cancer. She leaves behind two young teenage girls.

She was healthy, vibrant, and beautiful. No history of health problems. She decided to go to law school a few years ago (after her kids), and had just started practicing in her new career. I grew up really admiring her.

She was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago, and it rampaged through her body really quickly until the end. It happened so quickly, everyone has been left reeling.

Needless to say, my life has been a bit topsy-turvy the last few days and I haven't been blogging. I haven't been focused on much else, except family stuff.

You know, these things always give you a new perspective on life. What a wake-up call.

Will be back next week, when my journey will continue.

Oh Sonya :-( My condolences to you and everyone in your family. How sad, how sad and seemingly unfair.
