I've been MIA for some good reasons!
Firstly, I ended up taking on a new role at work. For the last couple of weeks, my life has been mayhem. I'm working a ton of hours, I don't even have time to eat lunch at work, and my sleeping is shot. I'm not happy about it, but I can't change jobs at the moment for a bunch of reasons. So I'm sticking it out, in hopes that things get better.
Hubby and I also had our weekend trip to NYC this past weekend! It was eat-fest galore. Vegan diner food, cake, fancy vegan dinners, and falafels. I am sick just writing about it! NYC has amazing vegetarian food - and we tried to gorge ourselves in less than 48 hours.
I was crazy anxious about the scale this morning. I've been avoiding it. You know, that feeling of bloat, tight pants, and general ick? You know that you shouldn't get on the scale, because it'll be depressing. Anyway, I decided to face the music.
I maintained! That's still 8lbs down! How that happened is beyond me - and I totally don't deserve it.
So, I have a bunch of clothes that I bought in NYC that are beautiful, but a tad snug. In about five pounds, they'll feel great. Two weeks - I'm gonna work hard.
It's been a couple of weeks, but I'm hauling myself out of bed at 5:30am tomorrow to get a good workout in. I'm so motivated.
p.s I was about to go into the freezer to get a chocolate "blossom" bar (they're amazing, and low fat - only 5g - dark chocolate with a rasberry sorbet filling). Instead, I came here to blog. Yay!

NYC! I'm so jealous. I've always wanted to go there. Not sure why I haven't yet. Keep putting it off. Where do you stay when you go there?
Glad to hear you maintained. You must have made some good choices long the way!
Wonderful news about the weigh in. Can't get enough of NYC. Hope things settled down at work. All the best.
