Quickly writing to say that I had a session with my personal trainer today. Getting back to it after a couple of weeks was pretty brutal. Plus, he showed me no mercy.
He suggested that I start doing cardio in addition to strength training on the days I work out with him. That's 2 hours a day, twice a week - in addition to all my other cardio. I was floored. But, if I want to get this weight off - that's what it's going to take.
A weird thing happened at the gym yesterday. I noticed a girl (who was a bit overweight) get on the elliptical next to me. She punched in her weight (I wasn't spying, I swear - I just happened to see it) - and she put in 265. I was shocked. She looked like she was half my weight. In fact, she was probably a couple of inches shorter than me. The fact that she weighs 50lbs more than me seemed crazy.
All this to say, it's amazing how different people carry their weight. Mine is all in da belly (hence, the name of my blog). She probably had more weight in her thighs and butt - but a perfectly flat stomach. Unbelievable.
Anyway, I'm going to be in some serious pain tomorrow! What's that expression about no gain without pain again?! LOL.
